Geography of Lvov
In the book, The Girl In the Green Sweater, the characters lived in a sewer system under Lvov, Poland. Lvov is a city in south eastern Poland. It was taken over by the Soviets in 1939. After that, it was taken over by Hitler and the German army. Before the Nazis invaded Lvov, there were 200,000 Jews living there. Nearly 100,000 of those Jews were from Germany. Its leader was Adolf Hitler until the end of World War 2.
